THE STORM SERIES: PART NINE
*May contain spoilers.*

The Series ~~> [link]

#1- In 1995, the AGE OF APOCALYPSE altered the X-Men’s reality, and X-MEN became AMAZING X-MEN for four months. Storm did not play much of a role in the AoA story arc and held no leadership position within the team, though she did seem to have a romantic attachment to Quicksilver, which I find adorable for some reason. Her costume here is pretty self-explanatory. Nothing flashy, but cool nonetheless. And I like her facial tattoo. I’ve always been a sucker for facial tattoos. Can’t explain it.

#2- To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the hugely successful Age of Apocalypse event, in 2005 Marvel revisited this continuity (even though technically it should’ve ceased to exist at the end of the original run) with a six part limited series penciled by artist Chris Bachalo. I don’t know the story, I haven’t read them (shocking, I know). Storm took on this costume during the series, which is pretty indicative of Bachalo’s style. I like it. I don’t really have anything else to say about it.

#3- In 1995, DC and Marvel Comics joined forces for a four-part crossover miniseries, at the end of which they created a short lived publisher known as AMALGAM COMICS, which I pronounced wrong for about six years. They merged their main characters together into strange new incarnations which weren’t really that impressive, like Wolverine and Batman into The Dark Claw. Meh. One of the mergings was Storm and Wonder Woman, into a character known as Amazon. I mostly included her here because I like Storm’s WW duds.

To be continued…

Okay, so I am very late to the party...

These studies are wonderful!

Have you thought about adding to the series?

Just suggestions:

StormPhoenix from What If? #Issue 79 (or my own version [link])

Ororo Munroe, Sorceress Supreme ([link])

Ororo Munroe, Magik ([link])

And any others you might feel like trying.
