THE JEAN GREY SERIES: PART NINE
*May contain spoilers.*

The Series ~~> [link]

#1- In 1995’s massive AGE OF APOCALYPSE x-over, Jean was originally one of Magneto’s X-Men, but ended up being kidnapped and experimented on by Sinister. She was later rescued by Weapon X (Logan) and the two became partners and lovers. Like a lot of the X-Men’s AOA versions, Jean sported a face tattoo, which I think I kinda messed up a little. Her short hair was a pain, too. I do like how the gear came out.

#2- This is Jean’s AOA version minus all the gratuitous gear, and with a navy blue jacket instead of the black one, as I’ve seen it colored a few times.

#3- In 2005 Marvel released a 6 issue X-MEN: AGE OF APOCALYPSE miniseries, even though this reality should technically have ceased to exist at the end of the original series. Though Jean had apparently died at the end of X-MEN OMEGA, we all know her better than that, and it turns out she was still alive and has been turned into one of Sinister’s henchmen. Eventually she is freed and takes over as leader of the X-Men. I honestly do not get this costume. I got it as close as I could, but every panel Chris Bachalo drew is slightly different and I couldn’t figure it out. I still don’t think it looks right. And something about the face is off, I’m not sure what. It gives me the creeps.

The short histories are a nice extra touch on your series.
