THE STORM SERIES: PART TWELVE
*May contain spoilers.*

The Series ~~> [link]

#1- Storm as portrayed on the as-yet-to-air-in-the-US animated series WOLVERINE & THE X-MEN. I managed to catch a few episodes of this show online before Marvel went all apeshit about getting them taken down. The show has been on in other parts of the world, like the UK, Mexico and Canada, but we don’t get it until at least next month, and then only on Nicktoons, whatever the hell that is. But I bitched about this enough in THE ROGUE SERIES: PART TEN so I’m gonna let it go. Anyway, in W&TX Storm has super huge hair, which I took down a notch here. But trust me, every time you see it, you laugh. Her main costume is supposed to have a gray cape, but I thought it looked silly so I colored it to match the rest of her outfit. This is a simple take on her comic costumes with a slightly altered tiara design.

#2- The ‘civvies’ version of Storm from W&TX. The show, from what I’ve seen, is actually pretty good, it does a nice job of holding onto a lot of established continuity from the comics, while doing some new things. And the animation is very nice for the most part. Plus Angel actually has a role on the show, which is good for me.

#3- Since the show hasn’t aired in the US yet, I won’t discuss the storylines, just suffice it to say that this is the ensemble Storm wears in the first episode in which she appears as a central character. I dig this look. Simple and elegant.

So, these are all of the versions of Storm I have complete at this time. There are a few others I may decide to do in the future, and I’m sure there are some I’ve yet to come across, so the series will probably continue at some point. I’m already gathering references for the next series, and have a few more planned as well, though things might be delayed as my marker budget is currently, well, nonexistent. This was fun and kept me occupied during a difficult and stressful time, and I hope everyone enjoys the series.

Oh, Wolverine & the X-Men. Such promising ideas and character designs, such horrible, horrible execution. In hindsight, though, I did love Storm's look. If only she'd been given more to do.

(side note regarding the premise: If Cyclops couldn't lead the X-Men and Xavier was gone, Ororo was next in line to lead the team. Aside from the name of the show, what possible reason did Xavier have to overlook her in favor of Wolverine? LOGAN IS A LOUSY LEADER.)
