THE ROGUE SERIES: PART SEVEN
The Series ~~> [link]

#1- In 1995, during the massive Age of Apocalypse crossover event, Uncanny X-Men became Astonishing X-Men for four months, and Rogue became Mrs. Magneto and mother to their son, Charles. She also became the leader of her own X-team, a resistance force against Apocalypse. As designed and drawn by artist Joe Madureira, this AOA costume is a little odd but does seem to fit her role as Magneto’s partner and figurative ‘first lady’ of the mutant resistance.

#2- To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the hugely successful Age of Apocalypse event, in 2005 Marvel revisited this continuity (even though technically it should’ve ceased to exist at the end of the original run) with a six part limited series penciled by artist Chris Bachalo. I don’t know the story, I haven’t read them (I am so far behind). Bachalo seems to very much favor the green hooded costume for Rogue, altering it only slightly for this mini-series. I know, my dark green marker sucks, it’s the only dark green I have and it was kind of on its last mission through this series.

#3- In the continuum of the Mutant X series (1998-2001) Rogue is portrayed in the Ms. Marvel costume and has permanently absorbed the powers of Colossus. As I have not read all the way through this series I have no idea what role she plays in this reality, but I wanted to draw it anyway because I think she looks cool with Colossus’ metal skin.

I dig the metal skin/ms. marvel costume look as well, but never read that series...shall have to look for it. Great work once again!

I have the whole series, but, like about 80% of my comic collections, I've only read the first couple issues, and I don't even really remember them. I am so far behind. :sigh:
